ShakeOut for Central U.S.
The Great ShakeOut earthquake drill helps people in homes, schools, and organizations practice how to be safe during big earthquakes, and provide an opportunity for everyone to improve their overall preparedness. Over 19 million people participated in ShakeOut drills around the world in 2012.
We want to encourage our Central U.S. customers to sign up to participate in the Great ShakeOut on February 7, 2013. Participating states include Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma and Tennessee.
Participants will drop, cover, and hold during the Great Central U.S. ShakeOut on February 7, 2013 at 10:15 AM, local time.
Participating in the ShakeOut only takes 90 seconds and provides an opportunity for communities to increase awareness of and readiness for earthquakes.
