Red Cross Ready Rating Program
The American Red Cross offers a free, self-guided Ready Rating program, to help businesses, organizations and schools assess and improve their emergency preparedness. Created in 2008, the Ready Rating program is widely recognized as a valuable tool to assist business organizations with taking necessary steps to prepare for and respond to a disaster or other emergency.
To participate, you begin by completing a comprehensive self-assessment of your organization’s level of preparedness. Once complete you gain access to tips and best practices, and commit to improving your organization’s score each year to maintain membership.
The Ready Rating Program “123 Assessment” has been designed to align with the Department of Homeland Security Private Sector Preparedness Guidance (PS-Prep). Members of the program can publicly display the Ready Rating Seal to show their commitment to preparedness.
