DHS Grants for Fiscal Year 2011

On May 19th, the Department of Homeland Security released the fiscal year 2011 grant guidance and application kits.  There are 12 grant programs with a combined total of $2.1 billion in assistance for states, urban areas, tribal and territorial governments, non-profit agencies and even the private sector.  Due to tightening budgets, the FY 2011 funding is significantly less than FY 2010 with a reduction of $780 million.
